Describe Yourself:Warren Adler is a world-renowned novelist, short story writer and playwright. His books have been translated into more than 25 languages and two of his novels, THE WAR OF THE ROSES and RANDOM HEARTS, have been made into enormously popular movies, shown continually throughout the world. Three short stories from his acclaimed collection THE SUNSET GANG have been adapted as a trilogy and shown on Public Television stations. The Overlook Press will publish a new novel, his 29th, in Spring 2008, and his fifth short story collection, NEW YORK ECHOES, was just published by Stonehouse Press. His play LIBIDO is scheduled for an off-Broadway production in 2008. His stage adaptation of the novel THE WAR OF THE ROSES is currently being produced in Italy, Berlin, Hamburg, Prague and countries in Scandinavia. Mr. Adler is a pioneer in electronic publishing and has acquired his complete backlist and converted this entire library to digital publishing formats. As a novelist, Mr. Adler's themes deal primarily with intimate human relationships—the mysterious nature of love and attraction, the fragile relationships between husbands and wives and parents and children, the corrupting power of money, the aging process and how families cling together when challenged by the outside world. Readers and reviewers have cited his books for their insight and wisdom in presenting and deciphering the complexities of contemporary life.

Rory H., Feb 26, 2009, 11:07PM ESTI apologize for not writing the about your last essay on the growing amount of bigotry. (I was getting ready to travel west.) That seems to pervade this world about Jews now. I count myself blessed for have known two men with thick German accents and strange tattooed numbers on their arm. They were the most gentle of men I have a known. Being a child, I didn't pay much attention to the tattoos. I thank Providence that I grew up where I did. Even though I have a Catholic upbringing, we had Jewish children in our school and babysat for a family. Great fun! So I have learned, that folks are folks. I do not know if it was Ronald Reagan or AIDs, probably both, that brought out this us and you're not us world. This world we live in is such a beautiful place, and the more I travel through its paths the more I find that folks are folks. We all have the same dreams, loves, hopes, aspirations, but fears and hates divide us. As for the rewrite of the Holocaust. If you read history and I have. It always is rewritten by those who do not want to see the harshness of the truth or the shame of the act or the fact that folks are just folks we on average are basically all same, good, bad, or different. The hate monger is all about power. Divide up people and make them fear each other. You can use that against. And yes I've seen that for a couple years too. With the election of Barak Obama to the presidency. I see a pendulum swing back to a more reasonable outlook for the US, but I cannot see that swing back towards the moderate in the Middle East or in Africa. I instead see it swinging even farther, towards the idiot-phial, and the idiot-dogma. Understand the Holocaust to these people would destroy the dogma. So they must write it out of history. If people saw today, the parallels of what the Nazis were saying and what these dogmas are saying that people would think asked questions, and the truth would be exposed. A lie can only stay a lie if truths are changed, distorted, hidden and masked from our consciousness. So I recommend that you start with the most powerful tool you have, that is the story. Story and bring everything into light, a story can focus and transform a story can bring about change is not the torah and the Bible fold those stories? Maybe a new story needs told. Best to be a child's story. For nothing can be clearer yet covered at the same time. I do remember, “Horton Hears a Who,” and my Aesop fables. And it might even may be a movie in time. As I said before, I count myself blessed that I knew two men with tattoos.
Have a good day.
